Is the indian businessman so different?
The recent rise and fall of the tycoon Vijay Mallya owner of Kingfisher Airlines leads us to a hasty conclusion: Indian and Western businessmen ressemble each other greatly. And yet, people doing business in India picture Indian businessmen as hardworking, tradition and socially aware and obviously tolerant of others. Ratan Tata's exceptional success comes to mind.
It's a fact that the rising Indian business generation becomes more materialistic and don't hesitate to show off. However the most important for India's future is that this generation of businessmen is determined to complain about the country's bureaucracy and the lack of a growth strategy.
